Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover/Contract)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic marketing professional to work with an expert team on top of its game overseeing all Marketing activity across the Group spanning B2B & B2C for both the Specifications and Retail divisions of the business.

Established in 1984, Versatile Group is a design-focused Irish distributor specialising in European designer bathroom and tile brands and technical heating, cooling & ventilation solutions.


This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract based at our offices and showroom in Navan, Co. Meath with the role/training commencing immediately.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supporting the company’s team of Directors, external Sales team & internal Sales team

  • Work closely with the team to implement the 2021 marketing strategy (across website management, social media, digital advertising, print advertising, PR/events/sponsorships etc)

  • Content creation: develop digital & print materials to support ongoing promotions, new product launches, showroom collateral etc

  • Social media management – organic and paid – across multiple platforms including analysis & reporting

  • Manage and grow online shop and all website content across new product/brands/promotions/blog post creation etc. Analysis through Google Analytics and tailor strategy accordingly

  • Create, measure & adjust Google Adwords campaigns, SEO activity and paid social media campaigns

  • Coordinate CPD webinars set up, promotion and post-seminar follow up

  • Project management including coordination of external suppliers including printers, designers etc

  • Proactive regular communication with Membership affiliations, manufacturers, Press contacts etc

  • Brochure creation, production and roll-out as required

  • Internal communications to ensure the team are aware of all upcoming marketing activity & initiatives

  • Support commercial initiatives and projects when required

Job Type / Category

The successful candidate will ideally have a blend of retail and B2B marketing experience, preferably within the home improvement, interior design/architecture or construction industry. He/she will be confident in content creation, managing stakeholder relationships and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is a very rewarding role for the right person, with marketing qualification & experience and commercial aptitude.


Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Marketing qualification (degree preferable)

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience working in a product marketing role essential

  • Experience with Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Facebook advertising, Mailchimp (or comparable email software)

  • Excellent Powerpoint, MS Excel & MS Word skills

  • Graphic Design training/abilities will be a distinct advantage

  • Video creation/editing skills highly desirable

  • A creative individual with a commercial mindset and excellent oral, written & communication skills with strong stakeholder management abilities

  • Fluent English speaker with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively & confidently at all levels

  • A genuine interest in Interior Design advantageous, with a keen eye for design and strong brand management experience

  • Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative and as a part of a team

  • Superior time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact in a personable manner

  • Superior organisational skills, analytical & reporting abilities

  • Knowledge of /marketing experience in Interior Design/Architecture, home improvement or construction industry a distinct advantage
